KDPS opened the application process for the position of Public Safety Officer. The application process will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) is requesting the public’s help in locating the suspect involved in the September 20, 2025, shooting in the 2700 block of West Michigan Avenue. On September 24, 2025, the Kalamazoo County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued a 25-count warrant for Naledge Quincy Lovon Williams Chamberlain.
Naledge is a 19-year-old Black male, 6’3” tall, and approximately 200 lbs. His current whereabouts are unknown. He should be considered armed and dangerous, as the firearm used in the shooting has not been recovered.
KDPS urges anyone who sees this individual not to approach him. Instead, please call 911 immediately.
