You can request a variety of records from KDPS like police reports, accident reports, and background investigations. You can also request documents under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
Police Reports
Printed reports are charged by page. Costs can be determined by contacting the Records office at (269) 337-8106.
Accident Reports
Accident reports can be purchased online through our vendor LexisNexis. This web service allows users to pay for accident reports with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
Background Investigation
Individuals wishing to search for a public criminal history record may use Michigan State Police’s Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT) for a modest fee.
FOIA
