Since June, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) has been investigating a series of burglaries in the Kalamazoo area. The suspect has targeted multiple hair and nail salons throughout Kalamazoo, Portage and Oshtemo. The most recent incidents occurred during the early morning hours of August 11, 2026, near the 4200 block of Portage Street, where two local businesses were burglarized.
Surveillance video captured a person of interest near the businesses at the time of the burglaries. KDPS is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person shown below.
Silent Observer is also offering a reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person responsible for these burglaries.
