Marvin Delaney Humphrey, 53, has been sentenced in connection with the November 2024 homicide of 68-year-old Minette Suzanne Weaver.
On May 23, 2025, Mr. Humphrey entered a plea of no contest to one count of Second-Degree Murder before the Honorable Judge Pamela L. Lightvoet in Kalamazoo County Circuit Court.
On June 23, 2025, the Honorable Judge Paul J. Bridenstine sentenced Mr. Humphrey to 18 to 40 years in custody of the Michigan Department of Corrections, with 144 days of credit for time served.
Mr. Humphrey was arrested on January 29, 2025, with assistance from the United States Marshals Service. He was formally charged the following day.
