Kalamazoo Emergency Management Announces Warming Shelters

Published on December 11, 2025

Weather predictions show the temperatures dipping down to single digits this coming weekend with windchills around 0 degrees. The City of Kalamazoo and Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety announce several warming shelters and centers available for those in need. Shelters accommodate overnight stays, and centers accommodate daytime use. Residents are encouraged to take refuge indoors during periods of extreme cold, snow, or freezing rain.
