On October 30th, 2025, members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) and Crime Reduction Team (CRT,) executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Reed Ave, in the City of Kalamazoo, following an investigation into drug sales and illegal weapon possession.
Prior to the execution of the search warrant at the residence, the suspect was contacted and detained without incident in the 2100 block of Portage St. The investigation concluded with the seizure of a loaded firearm, approximately 2 ounces of cocaine, evidence of drug manufacturing and distribution, and US currency, which is believed to be profits of drug sales.
The suspect has been previously convicted of felony charges and cannot legally possess a firearm or ammunition. The 31-year-old male suspect was arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail and will be facing multiple felony charges.
