KVET Operation Yields Gun, Crack, Cocaine, and Heroin/Fentanyl

On November 4th, 2025, members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of Wells Pl, in the City of Kalamazoo, following an investigation into drug sales and illegal weapon possession.

The suspect was contacted while he was seated in a vehicle and arrested without incident. A search of his person yielded various forms of controlled substances. Following his arrest, a search of his residence was conducted which yielded a firearm and a substantial quantity of controlled substances.

The investigation concluded with the seizure of a loaded firearm, over 5 ounces of crack cocaine, ¼ ounce of cocaine, ¼ ounce of heroin / fentanyl, evidence of drug manufacturing and distribution, and US currency, which is believed to be profits of drug sales.

The suspect has been previously convicted of felony charges and cannot legally possess a firearm or ammunition. The 27-year-old male suspect was arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail and will be facing multiple felony charges.
