On January 14th, 2026, members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) and Crime Reduction Team (CRT) executed multiple search warrants following an investigation into drug sales. The locations of the search warrants were as follows: 6000 block of Abbey St in Comstock Township and the 100 block of N 2nd St in Oshtemo Township. All search warrants were the result of the same investigation.
The suspect of this investigation was contacted in the 7000 block of S Sprinkle Rd in the City of Portage. He attempted to flee on foot, however, was quickly apprehended. Following his arrest, the search warrants were executed at both residences.
The investigation concluded with the seizure of the following:
The 26-year-old male suspect was arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail and will be facing multiple felony charges. The suspect had been recently released from prison in 2025 on weapon and drug related offenses. He is scheduled to be arraigned on 1/16/2026. A 2nd subject, a 24-year-old male, was not arrested, however could face charges pending a review by the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office.
