The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Darius Dagonne Williams, 45, in relation to an active child support warrant. Williams is also wanted for questioning in two assaults that occurred in Kalamazoo on June 30, 2026. Williams is described as a Black male, 45 years old, ~6’02, 190 pounds, last seen wearing black shorts and a white tank top. Around 4:40 pm on June 30, 2026, officers received reports of a male who had been assaulted with a knife near N. Edwards Street and W. Ransom Street. The victim sustained a laceration to his face and was treated at a local hospital for his injuries. The suspect fled the scene after the assault. Later that same night around 9:26 pm, officers received reports of a second assault in the same area. During the second assault, three male victims sustained serious lacerations. They were treated at local hospitals for their injuries. The suspect fled the scene after the second assault as well. At this time, it appears this person of interest as well as the victims in these incidents are members of the unhoused community. KDPS asks anyone with information related to this case to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 269-337-8139.
