The incident began at approximately 10:00 p.m. and concluded with the final arrest at 11:49 p.m.

One of the suspects was apprehended immediately, and another shortly after by officers. The third suspect was located following a report of a pocket dial to Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch Authority (KCCDA), which provided a location ping on VanderSalm Court. Officers used a K9 Team to confirm the suspect’s path of travel and conducted an article search, but no additional items were found at that time.

After further investigation an officer wading through a water overflow area on the south side of Crosstown Parkway located and recovered a third firearm.

Three of the juveniles have been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, along with resisting or obstructing an officer. The fourth juvenile faces charges solely for resisting or obstructing an officer.

KDPS remains committed to ensuring public safety and keeping firearms out of the hands of those who cannot legally possess them.
