The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred early Wednesday morning on Parkview Avenue.
Around 12:09 a.m., KDPS crews were dispatched to the 2400 block of Parkview Avenue for a report of a small fire. While responding, the call was updated to a motorcycle crash with the motorcycle fully engulfed in flames.
When first responders arrived, they found the motorcycle on fire and the rider unresponsive. Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze while officers and medical personnel began life-saving efforts. Despite their best efforts, the rider did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 12:36 a.m.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety extends its heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and friends. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
