Chief Boysen Announces Arrest of Two Fellas Grill Shooting Suspect

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) announced the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with the September 20 shooting at Two Fellas Grill on West Michigan Avenue.
On Nov. 19, Naledge Quincy Lovon Williams Chamberlain, 19, was taken into custody in St. Paul, Minnesota, on a 25-count felony warrant issued by the Kalamazoo County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The charges stem from a shooting that injured four people and left a fifth with minor injuries.
KDPS detectives sought assistance from the 5th District Michigan State Police Fugitive and Technical Services teams, who discovered that Chamberlain had fled Michigan. MSP investigators worked with the St. Paul Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which executed a search warrant earlier this morning with support from the department’s SWAT team. Chamberlain was taken into custody without incident and is being held in Minnesota pending extradition to Michigan.
KDPS Chief David Boysen said the arrest reflects the commitment of partner agencies across state lines.
“This is another example of when you choose to pick up a gun and be a shooter in our community, we will use every tool available. We will leverage every partnership and resource to make sure you are held responsible” Boysen said. “This was a coordinated effort from agencies who refused to let Chamberlain disappear. I’m grateful to the Michigan State Police and the St. Paul investigative teams for stepping in and helping bring this individual into custody. This is what it looks like when law enforcement works together and stays focused on protecting the public.”
Captain Danielle Guilds, who oversees the Criminal Investigations Division, credited detectives for their persistence.
“Our team has worked relentlessly since the moment this shooting occurred,” Guilds said. “This was a complex investigation that required close coordination with our partners, and we appreciate their support throughout. Today’s arrest reflects the dedication we all share to keeping communities safe.”
KDPS will provide additional information as extradition proceedings progress.
