While observing the 15-year-old male, a 14-year-old male was observed associating with the suspect, both were observed entering the rear passenger seat of a vehicle.

CRT members conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle after leaving the apartment complex. The two Juvenile males were found to be in possession of firearms concealed in their waistband.

Both firearms seized during the incident were reported stolen out of the City of Kalamazoo in 2026. In each case the firearms were stolen out of vehicles that were left unlocked and unattended. The two male juveniles were lodged at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile home on numerous weapons offenses.
