This is a significant milestone in our mission to serve and protect our community as we gather to mark the official opening of our new station, which represents a monumental step forward for public safety in our city. The ribbon cutting will be on Oct. 10, 2023 at 2 p.m. at 1007 E. Alcott. “Our previous station, though steeped in history, had become outdated and inadequate to meet the evolving needs of our growing community. This new station represents not only a physical upgrade, but also serves as a symbol of our commitment to providing the highest level of service and safety to our citizens. This state-of-the-art facility will enable us to enhance our operational efficiency, response times, and overall effectiveness in keeping our community safe,” said Dave Boysen, Chief of Kalamazoo Public Safety.
