Emergency Management

CoK EM - Transparent.png

Hazardous conditions and situations exist in all communities, and the City of Kalamazoo is no exception. They range from such natural hazards as ice storms and flooding, to large-scale health crises, to man-made hazards such as chemical spills and nuclear accidents, to the ultimate threat of a terrorism event.

Emergency Management for the City of Kalamazoo, in working closely with the County, State, Federal and community partners, has the responsibility of identifying potential hazards and preparing, mitigating, responding and recovering from events resulting from these hazards.
