Detectives Continue to Investigate Four Open Murder Cases
Public Safety Detectives continue to investigate four open homicide cases and request information from the public. The cases are briefly described below.
Troy Maurice Scott, age 51 was found murdered in the trunk of a vehicle on November 5th, 2009 in the driveway of an abandoned home in the 800 block of Gibson St. The investigation has been ongoing in this incident but an arrest has eluded detectives.
Joseph Salib, age 38 was murdered inside his home in the 1500 block of Beacon St. on October 3rd, 2010. The investigation has uncovered much information as to the circumstances surrounding Mr. Salib’s death however, a suspect has yet to be arrested.
Eric Devon Coleman, age 22 was murdered in the 1300 block of N. Rose St. on March 8th, 2012. Mr. Coleman was likely not the intended target, it is known there were numerous people in the area at the time of the shooting.
Jheryl Cecil Wright, age 25 was murdered in front of the Quick Stop Convenience Store at 1405 Portage St. on September 30th, 2012. Tips have slowed considerably in the six weeks since this incident occurred.
Kalamazoo Public Safety asks that anyone with information on any of these homicide investigations contact Kalamazoo Public Safety at 337-8994 or Silent Observer at 343-2100 or kalamazoosilentobserver.com. Silent Observer is offering up to $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects of any of the above listed homicide cases.
