The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is looking for an 32-year-old Kalamazoo resident after he walked away from a treatment home around 4 am earlier this morning.  Stephen Samuel Lenich has a history of mental illness that is controlled with medication.  It is believed that Lenich did not take his medication with him.

Lenich, is described as a white male, 5’11” tall and weighs 240 lbs.  He was last seen wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans, grey jacket and white tennis shoes.  He sometimes wears glasses and may have them in his possession.  Without his medication Lenich’s behavior could become unpredictable.  Anyone spotting Lenich is asked to call 911 immediately and do not attempt to approach him.

The investigation is currently ongoing.  Anyone with information regarding this incident, is asked to contact Kalamazoo Public Safety at 337-8994 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
