Internet Safety

The Internet is a wonderful educational and entertainment resource for children.  Millions of kids surf the Internet safely every day.  Unfortunately the Internet can also expose children to inappropriate content and predators.

There are three key elements to Internet safety:

  1. Education - Parents must educate themselves and their children on Internet safety.
  1. Supervision - Children should not be allowed to use the Internet unsupervised.  Parents must know what there kids are doing and who they are talking to.
  1. Vigilance - Parents should continue to monitor their children's Internet activity even if they trust them.  Children are curious and naive.   This combination can be dangerous when Internet activity is left unsupervised.
